New Build – MacKenzie Street, Te Atatu South

 Set on a quiet street in desirable Te Atatu South, this brand new freehold home offers four spacious double bedrooms – including a master suite with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite – plus generous open plan living, a sleek modern kitchen with quality Bosch appliances, and sunny private deck perfect for entertaining. But behind the clean lines and move-in-ready feel, this build came with its own unexpected twist. Partway through construction, our team discovered the original civil engineer’s detention tank design didn’t quite match real on-site stormwater requirements – and to complicate matters, its planned underground location clashed with existing services.

Rather than pause the project, we moved fast: working closely with the engineer and Auckland Council to redesign the tank, increase its capacity and reposition it above ground. It meant new drawings, extra coordination and a lot of thinking on our feet – but the alternative would have delayed completion and left the new owners without a compliant, maintainable system.
